  • Maintain accurate records of technical decisions, site surveys, correspondence and client requirements within the company’s CRM and project management systems.
  • Identify technical issues or risks early, analyse root causes, propose pragmatic solutions and coordinate implementation with relevant teams to protect programme, cost and compliance outcomes.
  • Undertake site visits during installation and handover to verify workmanship, resolve site queries and certify compliance with project specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with fire safety legislation and relevant standards (e.g. BS EN, Building Regulations), product developments and market practice to ensure recommended solutions remain compliant and competitive.

Qualifications & Experience – Sales Support, Technical Knowledge & Communication

  • Relevant technical qualification in building services, fire protection, construction or engineering is desirable.
  • Typically2–5 years’ experience working with fire door systems, passive fire protection or building fabric, with demonstrable technical input to projects or quotations.
  • Proven selling skills with experience supporting pre‑sales activities, preparing client proposals and presenting technical/commercial solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire doors, frames, ironmongery and installation methods, and an understanding of relevant standards and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly to clients, consultants and internal teams.
  • Demonstrable problem‑solving mindset with the ability to assess issues, propose pragmatic solutions and drive corrective actions that improve project outcomes.
  • Proficiency with CAD drawings, spreadsheets, CRM and project management systems; familiarity with estimating software is advantageous.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
