Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Nasdaq in SEC administrative proceedings and manage appeals from listing and delisting determinations before the Nasdaq Hearings Panel, the Nasdaq Listing and Hearing Review Council, and the SEC.
  • Draft and review briefs, motions, and legal filings in connection with administrative proceedings and appeals, and occasionally appear on behalf of Nasdaq in certain proceedings.
  • Coordinate with Nasdaq's Listing Qualifications, Hearings, and compliance teams to develop legal positions, gather evidence, and prepare witnesses for administrative proceedings.
  • Advise on and support Nasdaq's rule filings with the SEC related to listing standards, delisting procedures, and other matters connected to litigation and appellate work.
  • Brief directors and senior management on actual or threatened litigation, regulatory investigations, and developments in the law that may impact Nasdaq's business.

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. or LLM from a top-ranked U.S. law school or foreign equivalent, with active admission and good standing in one or more U.S. state bars.
  • 2–5 years of experience at a top-tier law firm, financial institution, technology corporation, or government agency, with a focus on litigation, regulatory enforcement, administrative proceedings, or securities law.
  • Substantive expertise in SEC administrative proceedings or complex commercial litigation, with demonstrated strength in brief drafting and legal advocacy.
  • Experience conducting or responding to regulatory inquiries by federal financial regulators.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a high standard of professional integrity and judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with exchange or self-regulatory organization (SRO) listing standards, delisting procedures, or rulemaking.
  • Ability to advise on risk mitigation best practices and track global legal developments in a dynamic, multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop subject matter expertise across a broad range of legal issues in a global financial technology company.

This position will be located in Washington DC or New York and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
