Role Summary

Responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical and ELV testing and commissioning activities to ensure all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with approved project specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and applicable standards. The role ensures readiness for inspections, successful system performance, and timely project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and approval of electrical and ELV testing and commissioning method statements.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning activities for electrical and ELV systems.
  • Ensure all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities comply with approved method statements and ITPs.
  • Verify completion and readiness of installation works prior to testing and commissioning.
  • Supervise functional testing, integrated systems testing, and performance verification.
  • Coordinate inspections and testing with consultants, clients, authorities, operators, and third-party agencies.
  • Prepare commissioning schedules and monitor progress against project milestones.
  • Ensure the availability and readiness of testing instruments, equipment, and required materials.
  • Coordinate system energization activities and ensure compliance with permit requirements.
  • Identify and support the resolution of technical issues, defects, and non-conformities related to testing and commissioning.
  • Maintain commissioning records, test reports, and relevant technical documentation.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in electrical and ELV testing and commissioning within construction or MEP projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and ELV systems installation, testing, commissioning, and handover requirements.
  • Experience in functional testing, integrated systems testing, and performance verification.
  • Familiarity with method statements, ITPs, commissioning procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, authorities, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Knowledge of project commissioning schedules, energization procedures, and permit-to-work requirements.
