Job Description
The Research Fellow will develop advanced lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and RNA engineering technologies for therapeutic applications. Key responsibilities include the design and synthesis of novel ionizable lipids, formulation and physicochemical characterization of LNPs, optimization of mRNA delivery and stability, and evaluation of biological performance through in vitro and in vivo studies. The candidate will investigate structure–activity relationships of LNPs and explore their applications in mRNA therapeutics, gene editing, and cancer immunotherapy. The Research Fellow will also analyse experimental data, prepare manuscripts, and collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams.
The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Assistant Professor Qianqian Ni, and research team members to develop advanced nanomedicine platforms for RNA therapeutics. The RF will focus on the design and optimization of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), RNA delivery systems, and functional nanomaterials for applications in mRNA therapeutics, gene editing, and cancer immunotherapy. The RF will independently conduct in vitro and in vivo studies, analyse experimental data, and contribute to research publications and collaborative projects.
Qualifications
(a) Have a PhD or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or other related disciplines. Candidates with relevant research experience are preferred;
(b) Have a strong research background in one or more relevant areas, such as organic synthesis, biomaterials, nanomedicine, drug delivery, nucleic acid therapeutics, molecular biology, or related fields;
(c) Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
(d) Have good scientific writing and communication skills and be familiar with the preparation of scientific manuscripts. Candidates with a track record of first-author peer-reviewed publications are preferred;
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
