At NationsBenefits, we are leading the transformation of the insurance industry by developing innovative benefits management solutions. We focus on modernizing complex back-office systems to create scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms that streamline operations for our clients. As part of our strategic growth, we are focused on platform modernization — transitioning legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures that support the scalability, reliability, and high performance of core back-office functions in the insurance domain.

We are seeking a macOS Administrator to own the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of our Mac fleet and the Apple device management stack behind it. This role serves as a high-level technical expert on macOS and Apple platforms and acts as L3 escalation support for issues with MacOS devices.

If you have a passion for enterprise Apple device management, endpoint automation, and secure, compliant infrastructure, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. macOS Device Management & Deployment:
  • Administer and maintain the macOS fleet using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Entra, including zero-touch enrollment, configuration profiles, policies, scripts, device inventory and application packaging.
  • Deploy macOS updates, security patches, and third-party software on a controlled, tested rollout schedule.
  • Enforce established secure configuration baselines (FileVault, firewall, Gatekeeper, compliance policies) on all Mac endpoints.
  • Build and maintain scripts (Bash, Zsh, PowerShell) to automate deployment, remediation, and reporting tasks.
  • Experience with standard enterprise configurations for Jamf/Apple (Platform SSO with Entra, Jamf Connect, etc)
  1. Support, Escalation & Troubleshooting
  • Act as L2/L3 escalation support for the Help Desk and Desktop Support teams, working issues through the ticketing queue from outreach to resolution.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, identity, and network issues on macOS, including Entra ID, Platform SSO, and ZScaler client connectivity.
  • Open and manage vendor tickets, coordinating with vendor technical teams to keep Apple-related platforms fully functional.
  1. Security, Compliance & Change Management
  • Coordinate with InfoSec on vulnerability and CVE-driven remediation, ensuring fixes are tested and rolled out in phases.
  • Support IT certifications and audits (PCI, HITRUST) through documentation and evidence gathering.
  • Participate in Change Management (CRM) and perform maintenance on impacted technology during change windows, including outside of production hours when required.
  • Maintain accurate IT SOP documentation and respond to alerts from monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity and experience implementing secure endpoint configuration baselines compliant with PCI, HITRUST, NIST, etc.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in IT, with at least 3+ years administering macOS in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with macOS workstation maintenance, deployment, and automation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment supporting end users and IT personnel.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Enterprise MDM solutions: Jamf Pro (required), Microsoft Intune, and Apple Business Manager / Automated Device Enrollment.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash/Zsh, PowerShell) and enterprise RMM and EDR tools (N-able, ManageEngine, SentinelOne).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory administration.
  • Communication & Professionalism:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in professional, user-friendly language.
  • Self-motivated, with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to prioritize, document, and execute assigned tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
  • Jamf Certified Tech (JCT), Jamf Certified Admin (JCA), or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP).
  • Jamf 300
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) is a plus.

Why Join Us?

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
