The posting

Founded in 1939, Neuberger is a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager. From offices in 40 cities worldwide, the firm manages $567 billion in client assets (as of March, 2026) across a range of strategies—including equity, fixed income, quantitative and multi-asset class, private equity and hedge funds—on behalf of institutions, advisors and individual investors globally.

Overview:

Neuberger believes that material environmental, social and governance characteristics can be an important driver of long-term investment returns from both an opportunity and a risk mitigation perspective. We also understand that for some clients, the impact of their portfolio is an important consideration in conjunction with investment performance.

The Stewardship & Sustainable Investing Group sits across asset classes and is responsible for deepening Neuberger’s commitment to stewardship and sustainable investing by integrating financially material factors across fixed income, equities, and private investment strategies, as well as developing and launching new strategies. For impact strategies, the team works with clients around the world to understand their impact objectives and to develop innovative investment solutions and thought leadership.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team. The role is intended for an experienced professional in financial services and/or strategy with an entrepreneurial attitude and strong interest in sustainable and impact investing. The successful candidate will work directly with the Stewardship & Sustainable Investing Group, with a primary focus on public equities and fixed income strategies. The individual would have exposure to colleagues across the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the deeper integration of financially material factors into fundamental equity and credit research across the investment platform through the identification of emerging issues.
  • Support the continued enhancement of integrating climate analysis tools and stewardship activities into the investment process.
  • Contribute to related research and thought leadership activities to assist the Stewardship & Sustainable Investing Group with client requests, external presentations, and media and marketing activities.
  • Leverage AI-enabled productivity tools to improve analysis, documentation, and delivery of integration and stewardship priorities
  • Contribute end-to-end support of impact investing strategies, including working with portfolio managers and research analysts, reviewing fundamental research and impact data, developing impact measurement and reporting, valuation, and stock selection

Requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent Master’s candidate
  • Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 graduation
  • Bachelor’s degree with a record of high academic achievement
  • 3-5 years’ professional experience (preferably in management consulting, investment banking, and/or asset management)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, creative, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, driving multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player with ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting within an established firm
  • Prior experience in or strong demonstrated interest in sustainable or impact investing, with familiarity of industry frameworks and terminology
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools a plus

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
