The role

Nebius is looking for a Regional Intelligence Analyst based in Europe.

  • The Europe Regional Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing an up-to-date and in-depth regional understanding of the environment in which Nebius operates across Europe, with a focus on countries, national, regional, and local authorities, sites, projects, and stakeholders relevant to the company’s operations and growth plans.
  • The role includes monitoring and analyzing political, regulatory, legal, public, and infrastructure-related developments; assessing community activity and local activism; and identifying trends and changes involving energy, the power grid, environmental matters, planning, and permitting that may affect the company and its existing or planned projects.
  • The Analyst will collect and integrate information from diverse sources and countries into regional assessments, country and site reviews, and decision-focused briefings. The role will support management and internal teams by identifying emerging risks, changes, and opportunities and providing the local, national, and European context required for planning and informed decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and analyze political, governmental, regulatory, and legal developments at the national, regional, and local levels across Europe.
  • Monitor changes in policy, legislation, permitting, and planning processes that may affect the company’s operations and existing or planned projects.
  • Assess the local environment surrounding company sites, including community activity, activism, protests, and public sentiment trends.
  • Map and analyze relevant stakeholders, including authorities, elected officials, local organizations, community groups, and professional bodies.
  • Monitor media trends, public narratives, and reputational issues relating to the company, its sites, and its operations across European countries.
  • Analyze developments involving the power grid, energy market, water, infrastructure, and environmental matters that may affect sites and projects.
  • Identify emerging changes, risks, and opportunities of potential significance to the company’s regional operations.
  • Prepare regional assessments, country and site reviews, profiles, alerts, and decision-focused briefings.
  • Provide research support for site and project evaluations, executive visits, meetings, and business activities across Europe.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align monitoring activities and deliverables with the company’s business and professional needs.
  • Maintain an up-to-date regional intelligence picture and provide ongoing reporting on material developments affecting the company’s sites and projects across Europe.

We expect you to have:

  • At least eight years of experience in regional research, commercial or business intelligence, risk analysis, policy research, political and regulatory research, or another relevant professional field.
  • Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing the European environment at the national, regional, and local levels.
  • Strong familiarity with government structures, legislative and regulatory processes, local authorities, and planning and permitting procedures across European countries.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research using open sources, databases, official documents, public records, legal and regulatory sources, media, and social media.
  • Experience analyzing stakeholders, community activity, local activism, public trends, and reputational issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate information from different countries and sources, identify trends and early signals, and develop clear, well-founded assessments.
  • Experience preparing reviews, assessments, and briefings for management and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English, including the ability to read complex material and write and present findings to a high professional standard.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Sound judgment, accuracy, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as political science, international relations, law, public policy, economics, European studies, or a comparable discipline.

It will be an added bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience in a research firm, commercial intelligence firm, consulting firm, global company, or international corporate environment.
  • Experience researching infrastructure, energy, the power grid, data centers, technology, or large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with site-evaluation processes, land use, permitting, environmental regulation, and local government across European countries.
  • Experience supporting market entry, business expansion, or the evaluation of projects and transactions.
  • Professional or academic experience in one or more European countries and direct familiarity with local business and public environments.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools, digital research tools, professional databases, and Microsoft Office applications.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
