About Nebius:
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
The role
The Warehouse Logistics 3PL Manager oversees warehouse and logistics operations for AI data center hardware stored at third-party logistics (3PL) facilities across the U.S. The role is responsible for launching new 3PL warehouses and managing inbound and outbound shipments that support U.S. and international data center deployments, ensuring operational excellence and on-time delivery. As the primary liaison between the company and 3PL providers, this position owns warehouse performance, supplier relationships, SLA compliance, inventory accuracy, cross-functional coordination, risk management, and process standardization. The role starts as an individual contributor with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the 3PL network expands.
Travel: Regular travel to 3PL warehouses and availability for other business trips.
Your responsibilities will include:
New Warehouse Setup & Onboarding
- Lead the setup and launch of new 3PL warehouses across the US, from site selection input and requirements definition through go-live and stabilization.
- Define operating requirements for each site, including layout, racking, security, access control, systems integration, and staffing, with internal stakeholders and the 3PL.
- Develop and maintain onboarding playbooks, SOPs, and training for new 3PL partners and sites so the network scales consistently into new regions.
- Validate readiness before go-live, including systems connectivity (WMS/ERP/TMS), process walk-throughs, and security and audit checks.
Shipment & Warehouse Operations
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments, from dock to stock, within agreed SLAs across all 3PL warehouses.
- Direct outbound shipments to support data center locations in the US and internationally, working with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Establish, standardize, and maintain SOPs for receiving, shipping, staging, kitting, and material handling; ensure 3PL adherence.
- Oversee packaging, labeling, and handling standards for sensitive, high-value equipment.
- Manage escalations and exceptions, including delays, damage, customs hold, and carrier bottlenecks.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive workflow, tooling, and automation improvements across the 3PL network.
Inventory, Asset Control & Returns
- Own inventory accuracy across all 3PL warehouses through cyclical and annual inventory programs and reconciliation with 3PL records.
- Guarantee data accuracy in inventory and asset systems (ERP/WMS), with chain-of-custody controls, asset tagging, and serial number capture from receipt through deployment, returns, and decommissioning.
- Support controls required for financial compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley) applicable to warehouse operations and inventory.
- Oversee RMA and warranty flows handled at 3PL sites, including secure handling of data-bearing devices and disposition per company policy.
- Perform root-cause analysis on discrepancies related to 3PL operations and implement preventive measures.
3PL Supplier Relationship Management
- Own the lifecycle of 3PL partner relationships, including selection input, onboarding, performance tracking, and exit or transition planning.
- Define, implement, and enforce SLAs, KPIs, and scorecards (e.g., dock-to-stock, inventory variance, pick accuracy, on-time shipping); run regular business reviews.
- Lead 3PL execution in compliance with company policies, procedures, and security requirements.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the focal point of communication for internal customers and stakeholders, including data center operations, project managers, capacity planning, supply chain, procurement, and finance.
- Understand current and future internal customer needs and align 3PL capacity with deployment and build schedules.
- Report KPIs, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership; develop operational and financial objectives and key results (OKRs) tied to KPIs.
Risk, Security & Compliance
- Assess and mitigate risks related to 3PL operations, including equipment damage, delays, theft, and supplier concentration.
- Ensure 3PL partners meet security, safety, and chain-of-custody requirements for high-value equipment, including physical security and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with trade, customs, and export control requirements for domestic and international shipments.
- Oversee root-cause analysis of logistics incidents and implement corrective actions; maintain audit readiness.
We expect you to have:
- 7+ years in global logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, preferably in IT hardware or data centers, with a proven track record in operations.
- Experience managing outsourced logistics services and 3PL partners, including operational experience at or with a logistics provider.
- Hands-on experience with logistics management systems (ERP/WMS).
- Working knowledge of data center hardware (servers, GPUs, networking, optics).
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as influencing partners and organizations, mentoring, and supporting the growth of others.
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and drive supply chain execution, including standardizing analysis across finance, planning, and fulfillment.
- Experience driving continuous improvement, standardization, and implementation of processes and systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including vendor negotiation and performance management.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and data center environment.
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations or related field.
- Knowledge of ERP, WMS, TMS, and dock schedulers.
- Experience launching or onboarding new warehouses or 3PL sites.
- Experience with import/export environments of a 3PL or carrier, including customs and export controls.
- Experience in logistics operations in a global, high-growth, automated environment.
- Exposure to GPU infrastructure or AI/ML compute environments.
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and ability to integrate AI tools to redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements), applying responsible and ethical AI practices.
