You will also have a team of seven other Investigators and the Investigations Supervisor to offer assistance and guidance, plus countless other professionals throughout the DOR who are invested in your success. Likewise, the Investigations Section also emphasizes continuous professional development. You will have many options to meet the mandatory 32 hours of law enforcement continuous education, access to Linked-In Learning, and the opportunity to attend specific training provided by other areas of the DOR.
This position is based in Lincoln at the Nebraska State Office Building. Each Investigator has regularly scheduled hours (generally starting from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lasting until 4 to 5 p.m.), representing eight hours a day plus time for lunch, with scheduling flexibility provided to the extent the workflow allows. Overtime is rarely, if ever. necessary.
The occasional out-of-state travel will be required, including to the Lottery vendor’s scratch ticket facility in Lakeland, Florida. You will also have the option to attend regional law enforcement conferences held throughout the country. All reasonable and necessary travel expenses will be either directly paid by the State of Nebraska or reimbursed. Your supervisor will work proactively with you to ensure that all travel is conducted within the framework of a 40 hour per week schedule.
Pay range is $26.163 - $38.567 per hour; pay is commensurate with experience, within agency fiscal constraints, if approved.
