The posting

At Neighbor, we’re building the world’s largest hyperlocal storage marketplace. We’ve raised over $75 million from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and the creators of DoorDash, Airbnb, and Uber. Our marketplace already operates in all 50 states, and we’re just getting started.

We are looking for a Paid Search Contractor to help scale renter acquisition. This role will focus on optimizing Google and Bing ad campaigns to drive incremental growth above our target ROAS. This role will consult on strategy, but is highly execution-focused, working closely under our Head of Paid Search.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ongoing campaign management with tROAS and conversion value optimization
  • Launch ad copy, landing page, and bidding tests and report back on results
  • Monitor account trends, performance and competitive activity, raising issues early and often
  • Build and maintain the tools that keep the account healthy end to end, including scripts, alerts and automated checks.
  • Manage keyword expansion and negative keywords, documenting changes
  • Review insights, search query, and audience reports to sharpen targeting and improve performance
  • Deliver regular reports on KPIs, competitor metrics and campaign performance, highlighting what needs attention with actionable insights on bids, budgets, and structure

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in performance-focused paid search management (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc.) and expertise with ad interfaces, both web UI and Desktop Editor
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets to uncover insights and opportunities
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Google Ads scripts
  • Proven success managing budgets of at least $1M/year - scaling campaigns profitably
  • Strong attention to detail, project management, and communication skills
  • Uses AI tools day to day to speed up work like ad copy testing, keyword research, and reporting
  • Familiarity with offline conversion imports and conversion value rules (nice to have)

  • Estimated 20 hours per week initially, with potential to scale as campaigns grow
  • Contractor role (hourly)
