The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Data and Digital Solutions based in the United States.

The Senior Director, Data and Digital Solutions will lead enterprise-wide resource management and strategic execution across AI, automation, data, and infrastructure initiatives. Reporting to the CIO, this senior leadership role connects business strategy with portfolio planning, workforce capacity, technology delivery, and measurable outcomes. You will ensure that people, skills, funding, and technical resources are aligned with organizational priorities. Working closely with executive leaders and cross-functional teams, you will manage competing demands, coordinate dependencies, and maintain accountability for delivery commitments. The role also oversees data modeling, reporting, and dashboard development to support informed decision-making for internal stakeholders and clients. This is an opportunity to shape how technology investments translate into operational improvements, innovation, and sustainable business value.

Accountabilities

  • Strategic prioritization and portfolio management: Translate enterprise objectives into integrated execution plans for AI, automation, data, and infrastructure initiatives, defining priorities, delivery sequences, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Lead portfolio prioritization with executive leadership and business stakeholders, balancing expected value, urgency, risk, available capacity, and competing demands.
  • Maintain accountability for portfolio execution across teams by establishing clear ownership, delivery commitments, escalation paths, and corrective actions when initiatives fall behind.
  • Ensure transparent intake and prioritization processes, resolving resource conflicts within delegated authority and escalating significant investment or funding decisions when needed.
  • Resource management and workforce planning: Maintain a consolidated view of demand, capacity, skills, assignments, and schedules across technology teams, covering both project delivery and ongoing operations.
  • Develop rolling workforce and capacity plans with functional leaders, identifying staffing gaps, critical skills, succession needs, training priorities, and external partner requirements.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, address overcommitment and scarce-skill bottlenecks, and recommend hiring, contracting, sourcing, and funding strategies.
  • Integrated execution and value reporting: Oversee integrated schedules and dependencies across data readiness, infrastructure provisioning, security reviews, AI delivery, deployment, and operational transition.
  • Partner with program leads and team managers to align resource commitments, monitor workstream readiness, and maintain delivery accountability.
  • Establish executive reporting on portfolio health, workforce capacity, schedule forecasts, financial performance, risks, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
  • Define value measures with business owners, establish baselines, and track realized benefits such as adoption, service quality, released capacity, cost savings, cost avoidance, and revenue contribution.
  • Reconcile reported benefits with Finance and business stakeholders, ensuring results are validated and not double-counted, and use findings to recommend portfolio adjustments.
  • Data modeling, reporting, and dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain reports, interactive dashboards, and data models that translate business requirements into reliable metrics and actionable insights.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and clients to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators, business rules, and intended uses.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and reporting logic; investigate discrepancies and establish consistent metric definitions.
  • Interpret trends and performance gaps, communicate findings and limitations to technical and nontechnical audiences, and establish reusable reporting practices, documentation, refresh processes, and access controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in technology delivery, portfolio management, resource planning, or related fields, including senior leadership of complex cross-functional programs.
  • Demonstrated accountability for executing strategic technology portfolios involving multiple teams, budgets, schedules, and competing business priorities.
  • Proven expertise in workforce planning, demand and capacity management, skills forecasting, resource allocation, and internal and external sourcing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the interdependencies between AI, automation, data platforms, and infrastructure across implementation and ongoing operational support.
  • Experience developing integrated roadmaps, managing portfolio dependencies, resolving resource conflicts, and recovering initiatives that are off track.
  • Financial and analytical capabilities covering business cases, resource costs, budgets, forecasting, benefit measurement, and executive performance reporting.
  • Ability to lead in matrixed organizations, negotiate commitments with functional leaders, and communicate clear recommendations to executives and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience establishing or leading an enterprise portfolio, technology delivery, resource management, or transformation function.
  • Background in planning AI and automation adoption alongside data and infrastructure modernization, including ongoing operational capacity.
  • Experience in professional services, architecture, design, or technology-enabled client service delivery.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications in portfolio management, program management, workforce planning, financial management, or technology leadership.
  • National average base salary range of $150,000–$175,000, based on 12+ years of experience. Final compensation depends on relevant experience, qualifications, education, and location.
  • Additional compensation opportunities, including Short-Term Incentive Plans, Long-Term Incentive Plans, and profit sharing.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Wellness program with rewards for healthy activities.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Flexible working schedules and work-from-home options, depending on client needs.
  • Career advancement opportunities.
  • Professional development support, including discretionary assistance and reimbursement for registrations, certifications, and professional organization memberships.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
