The posting

Founded in 2004, NetBrain is the leader in no-code network automation. Its ground-breaking Next-Gen platform provides IT operations teams with the ability to scale their hybrid multi-cloud connected networks by automating the processes associated with Diagnostic Troubleshooting, Outage Prevention and Protected Change Management. Today, over 2,500 of the world’s largest enterprises and managed services providers leverage NetBrain’s platform.

What We Need

NetBrain is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to own core accounting operations across our U.S. and international entities. You will lead the month-end close, general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounts payable, and you will support our financial statement audits, foreign statutory audits, and tax compliance. You will also manage and develop members of the accounting team. You will report to the Assistant Controller and help shorten the monthly close process and reduce manual work through automation.

What You'll Do

Close and General Ledger

  • Own the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close calendar, meet close deadlines, and drive reductions in close cycle time.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, including work prepared by the senior accountant, so that every account is reconciled and supported on time.
  • Perform financial, variance, and flux analysis, and develop performance metrics that support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Team and Accounts Payable

  • Manage the accounts payable function and AP staff, including priorities, workload, coverage, and performance, and own the procure-to-pay process from invoice intake through payment.
  • Review and approve payment batches before release, and review the annual 1099 filing.
  • Mentor accounting staff through coaching, training, and professional development opportunities.

Tax, Audit, and International

  • Coordinate sales and use tax filings, amendments, and compliance activities, including nexus reviews, registration in new jurisdictions, and administration of the Company’s sales and use tax software (Avalara).
  • Manage registered agents for annual state filings.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the annual financial statement audit and foreign statutory audits.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for federal and state tax compliance and the annual tax provision.
  • Support international accounting, including VAT and GST filings, review of monthly reporting packages, intercompany reconciliations, and STAT-to-GAAP reconciliations.

Controls and Process Improvement

  • Lead projects and system implementations that shorten the close, reduce manual work, automate processes, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Produce ad hoc reports, reconciliations, and analyses for Finance and business partners as requests arise.
  • Build strong working relationships with teams across the company.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Hands-on experience managing accounts payable operations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, the month-end close, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with accounting and business systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, and Expensify, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop staff and to set team priorities during close and audit periods.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A collaborative, self-directed approach, with the initiative to improve processes without waiting to be asked.
  • Manual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.
  • Stationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
