The posting

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

Netflix is seeking a proactive, resourceful Administrative Assistant based in New York, NY to support the Original Stand-Up Comedy and Scripted Series Business & Legal Affairs teams. You’ll be the dedicated admin working with the directors and their direct reports. You’ll also partner with fellow assistants supporting the broader Business & Legal Affairs team.

If you like keeping things running smoothly, working independently, and being proactive, this role puts you at the center of a fast-moving, creative business. A successful candidate is self-motivated, quick-thinking, and flexible, with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. Genuine curiosity about the entertainment space is a big plus.

What you’ll do

  • Manage busy calendars, scheduling internal and external meetings and calls across bi-coastal teams and, at times, internationally.
  • Keep project status charts and trackers accurate and up to date, including in Airtable.
  • Upload and organize documents in Watson, and help keep agreement files in good order.
  • Serve as the New York office point of contact, helping with office management needs for a team of approximately nine.
  • Build strong relationships with the other assistants and stakeholders supporting the broader Business & Legal Affairs team, and act as a connector between the coasts.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel and process expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Prepare agendas and materials for team syncs and meetings, and circulate notes and action items.
  • Plan and coordinate team events and offsites, from venues and vendors to logistics.
  • Use Gen AI tools to find efficiencies and automate routine work.
  • Onboard new team members and help maintain team onboarding materials.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.

What you bring

  • Experience as an administrative or executive assistant, ideally supporting multiple people at once.
  • Experience with global teams is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Airtable in a business environment.
  • Independence and sound judgment. You know what to handle yourself, when to escalate, and how to find another way when the first plan falls through.
  • Strong follow-through. You own your work, track open items, and close the loop without prompting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with a friendly, professional presence.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and adapt as things change.
  • A track record of discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
  • A collaborative, positive attitude, and willingness to pitch in wherever help is needed.
  • Comfort using AI tools to work more efficiently, with good judgment about what information is appropriate to share and a habit of reviewing outputs before relying on them.
  • Interest in entertainment and comedy, or a background in a legal or business affairs setting.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
