THE OPPORTUNITY
12 month maternity leave cover
Lead the operational heartbeat behind Netwealth’s investment products.
Behind every investment product is a finance operation that needs to be accurate, controlled and dependable.
We’re looking for a Fund Operations Manager to join us on a 12 month maternity leave fixed-term contract, taking ownership of key fund accounting and operational activities across our Managed Investment Schemes, Managed Accounts and IDPS Service, while overseeing the daily banking activities that support our products.
This is an opportunity to step into an established function, lead a team of three and make an impact from day one. You’ll keep critical operations running smoothly while strengthening processes, partnering across the business and contributing your expertise as our products, systems and regulatory environment continue to evolve.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and develop a team of three, creating a capable, collaborative and high performing fund operations function.
- Oversee daily bank reconciliations and scheduled asset reconciliations across listed securities, managed funds and term deposits.
- Own daily banking activities and fortnightly fee runs, ensuring they are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain strong operational controls, policies and procedures, ensuring they remain current and compliant.
- Partner with auditors and teams across Product, IT, Legal, Risk and Compliance to keep things moving and solve problems.
- Bring a finance and accounting lens to projects, product changes and system improvements, helping shape practical solutions as Netwealth evolves.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced fund operations professional who knows how to balance the detail with the bigger picture. You’re comfortable leading a team, taking ownership of critical operational processes and working across the business to get things done. Just as importantly, you’re someone who looks for smarter ways of working and enjoys bringing structure, improvement and clarity to a busy environment.
- You bring 5+ years of relevant fund operations experience, with strong exposure to reconciliations, banking, fee calculations and investment products.
- You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- You understand the complexities of fund operations and can confidently manage recurring daily, fortnightly and monthly deliverables.
- You’re highly organised, comfortable taking ownership and know how to keep multiple priorities moving without losing sight of the detail.
- You’re a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships across Finance and the broader business.
- You’re naturally curious about how things could work better and enjoy improving processes, strengthening controls and leaving things better than you found them.
