Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced eCW Business Systems Analyst to implement, support, optimize, and enhance our eClinicalWorks — eCW — Electronic Health Record and Practice Management systems. This role will serve as a liaison between clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and technical teams to analyze business needs, document requirements, improve workflows, and support system configuration, testing, training, and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has strong healthcare operations knowledge, hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business analyst for eClinicalWorks EHR and Practice Management workflows.
  • Partner with clinical, administrative, billing, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Evaluate current workflows and recommend process improvements using eCW functionality.
  • Support configuration, maintenance, and optimization of eCW modules, templates, order sets, forms, reports, and workflows.
  • Analyze system issues, troubleshoot problems, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and eCW support.
  • Document functional specifications, workflow diagrams, test scripts, user stories, and business process documentation.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and new feature implementations.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing — UAT — and validate system changes before production deployment.
  • Support data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics using eCW reporting tools or related systems.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to end users on eCW workflows and best practices.
  • Work closely with revenue cycle teams to support billing, claims, eligibility, scheduling, referrals, and payment workflows.
  • Ensure system changes comply with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in project planning, status updates, risk identification, and implementation activities.
  • Maintain strong documentation of system configurations, workflows, issues, and resolutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Clinical Systems Analyst, or Healthcare IT Analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks — eCW EHR and/or Practice Management systems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and/or ambulatory practice operations.
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and supporting system enhancements.
  • Knowledge of EHR configuration, testing, issue resolution, and end-user support.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams including clinicians, front office, billing, IT, and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting eCW upgrades, migrations, or implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle workflows including scheduling, eligibility, claims, coding, billing, denials, and payments.
  • Experience with reporting tools, SQL, dashboards, or healthcare analytics.
  • Understanding of HL7 interfaces, APIs, lab interfaces, and interoperability standards.
  • Experience with patient portals, telehealth, referrals, document management, and care coordination workflows.
  • Certification or training in eClinicalWorks is a plus.
  • Experience working in ambulatory care, physician group, or multi-specialty practice environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
