We are conveniently located at 640 Concord Avenue in Cambridge, on the Cambridge/Belmont line by the beautiful Fresh Pond Parkway, on the MBTA bus line and close to the Alewife Red Line Station. We are seeking highly motivated and qualified per diem Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our nursing department, with the opportunity to change to part-time or full-time status as positions become available.
Per diem rate: $25.00 per hour base, plus shift differentials of $2.50 per hour for weekday evenings and nights and weekend days, and $3.00 per hour for weekend evenings and nights ($27.50 – $28.00 per hour with differential).
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your essential job responsibilities include:
• Provide care to residents as directed and as outlined in the plan of care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and/or provide all necessary care for residents who are dependent.
• Use nursing assistant techniques that promote as much individual independence as possible, including walking, transfer assistance, range of motion, eating, bathing, dressing and bed mobility.
• Apply knowledge of infection control and fire and disaster policies as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and meet the requirements for annual in-service participation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; other languages are helpful.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Weekend rotation is required for all direct care staff.
