Join us at NRVCS! New River Valley Community Services, one of the largest Community Service Boards in Virginia, works hard to stay on the pulse of the innovative, evidence-based practices for providing high quality care to the NRV and we can use your assistance!

Our Outpatient Team is seeking compassionate and dedicated clinicians to work with adults and/or adolescents with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Outpatient Clinician will provide individual and group therapy sessions, including working with our Intensive Outpatient Program for individuals with substance use disorders.

Outpatient Clinicians provide essential support and guidance to these individuals through assessment, collaboration to create achievable goals, and walking along with them in their recovery journey.

We offer flexible scheduling, licensure supervision for LPC and LCSW residents and supervisees, and are a National Health Services Corps Loan Repayment site. Full-time staff receive a complete benefits package including health insurance, Virginia Retirement System, PTO, life insurance, and more!

***$3,000 Sign on Bonus***

Starting Salary: $53,581.50-$61,618.73-Depending on Experience

Education Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other license-eligible Human Services field required.
  • Virginia Licensure as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred.
  • At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is required.

Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
