The posting

No two days in hotel housekeeping are exactly the same, especially when you're responsible for two properties. One morning, you may be walking guestrooms with your housekeeping team, checking room readiness, or adjusting schedules to accommodate an unexpected increase in occupancy. Later in the day, you could be reviewing inspection scores, coordinating with Maintenance on out-of-order rooms, ordering supplies, or helping your team prepare for a busy weekend.

As Executive Housekeeper, you'll oversee housekeeping operations across two hotels, ensuring guestrooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and ready to welcome guests. You'll lead and develop your housekeeping teams, manage staffing and departmental expenses, and work closely with hotel leadership to maintain brand standards and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll balance the needs of both properties, step in to support your team when needed, and occasionally assist with Front Desk or Guest Services during busy periods.

At Newport Hospitality Group, Living Hospitality means taking pride in the details, supporting your team, and creating a clean, comfortable environment that makes every guest feel welcome.

What You'll Own

As Executive Housekeeper, you'll have responsibility for the housekeeping operations of both hotels, including:

  • Daily Housekeeping Operations: Oversee guestroom cleaning, public areas, laundry operations, and daily room readiness across both properties.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop housekeeping associates while creating a positive, productive, and accountable work environment.
  • Quality & Brand Standards: Conduct guestroom and public area inspections, address cleanliness concerns, and ensure both hotels consistently meet brand expectations.
  • Labor & Expense Management: Manage staffing levels, productivity, departmental expenses, and supply costs while balancing the operational needs of both properties.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Maintain appropriate levels of linens, amenities, cleaning products, and equipment while minimizing waste and controlling expenses.
  • Department Coordination: Work closely with Front Desk, Maintenance, and hotel leadership to prioritize room assignments, resolve maintenance concerns, and ensure guestrooms are available when needed.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure proper chemical handling, equipment use, sanitation practices, and compliance with applicable safety standards.
  • Hands-On Support: Assist with room cleaning, laundry, inspections, or guest services when business levels require additional support.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who takes pride in a well-run housekeeping department, pays attention to the details, and knows how to lead a team across two busy hotels.

  • At least 5 years of housekeeping experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping leadership experience required; multi-property experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage staffing, schedules, productivity, and departmental expenses.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
  • Familiarity with hotel brand standards, guestroom inspections, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Associate's degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to perform housekeeping tasks, stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
