About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our ads signals and measurement capabilities, spanning signal collection, identity resolution, audience data, attribution, and advertiser reporting.

You will own the product roadmap for the systems that help advertisers measure performance and enable our advertising platform to use data effectively for targeting and optimization. Working closely with Engineering, Data Science, BI, and cross-functional product teams, you will improve signal quality, build intuitive measurement tools, and support responsible data use across our advertising ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Signal Collection & Quality

  • Own the roadmap for advertiser signal collection through pixels, Conversions API (CAPI), and mobile measurement partner (MMP) integrations.
  • Improve signal coverage, accuracy, freshness, and reliability, including event validation, deduplication, and integration diagnostics.
  • Partner with advertiser-facing teams to increase adoption of tracking integrations and with Engineering and Data Science to improve signal utilization in targeting, optimization, and measurement.

2. Identity Resolution & Attribution

  • Develop identity resolution capabilities that connect events to users using permitted first-party identifiers and, where appropriate, probabilistic matching.
  • Define requirements for conversion attribution across supported channels and devices, accounting for signal availability and privacy constraints.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate identity matching and attribution quality, and improve the consistency of measurement across systems.

3. Audience Data & Data Management Platform

  • Define and execute the roadmap for our data management platform (DMP), supporting data collection, audience segmentation, and activation.
  • Partner with Engineering to build scalable, reliable data infrastructure with appropriate controls for data access, retention, and use.
  • Enable audience data to support relevant ad targeting and campaign optimization.

4. Advertiser Reporting & APIs

  • Lead the development of accurate, intuitive advertiser reporting tools that help advertisers understand campaign performance and take action.
  • Define consistent metrics and reporting requirements, and address discrepancies across reporting and measurement systems.
  • Own product requirements for reporting APIs that enable advertisers and partners to access performance data programmatically.

5. Internal Analytics & Measurement

  • Partner with BI to define KPIs and develop dashboards that support operational monitoring, performance analysis, and product decisions.
  • Ensure key metrics are consistently defined and accurately tracked across systems.
  • Identify gaps in internal analytics and prioritize improvements based on business impact.

6. User Insights & Profile Enrichment

  • Partner with the news app team to incorporate permitted behavioral and contextual signals into audience profiles and targeting capabilities.
  • Translate user insights into opportunities to improve ad relevance and advertiser performance.
  • Work with Data Science and Engineering to evaluate the incremental value of new signals.

7. Privacy & Data Governance

  • Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Engineering to translate applicable privacy requirements and platform policies into product requirements.
  • Incorporate consent, data minimization, retention, and access controls into signal collection and data activation workflows.
  • Anticipate how changes in privacy requirements and signal availability affect the product roadmap.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in advertising technology, measurement, or data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience building or managing ads tracking and attribution products, including pixels, server-to-server integrations such as CAPI, and MMP integrations.
  • A track record of shipping products that improve data quality, measurement, or advertiser outcomes.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience using analytics tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, event schemas, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
  • Ability to translate complex data and measurement needs into clear product requirements and measurable success criteria.

Domain Expertise

  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking, identity resolution, attribution methodologies, and campaign reporting.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation, DMPs or customer data platforms (CDPs), and tracking technologies such as pixels and SDKs.
  • Practical understanding of how privacy requirements, including GDPR and CCPA, affect data collection, identity resolution, and activation.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical judgment and prioritization skills, balancing advertiser needs, business impact, technical complexity, and privacy considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Data Science, BI, Product, Sales, and Legal.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
