Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders across outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments to identify communication impairments, swallowing difficulties, cognitive deficits, and functional rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, clinical findings, functional goals, and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve speech production, language comprehension, expressive communication, cognitive functioning, and swallowing safety.
  • Assess and manage dysphagia and swallowing disorders, including developing appropriate treatment strategies and patient education plans.
  • Provide speech and language rehabilitation for patients recovering from neurological conditions, injuries, illnesses, and other conditions affecting communication or swallowing.
  • Deliver inpatient speech therapy services to support functional recovery, communication abilities, swallowing safety, and discharge planning.
  • Provide outpatient speech-language pathology services for patients requiring ongoing rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention.
  • Occasionally support speech therapy services in skilled nursing facilities and home health settings, depending on patient needs and departmental requirements.
  • Monitor patient progress, reassess functional outcomes, and modify treatment plans to support continued improvement.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies, swallowing precautions, therapeutic exercises, and home treatment programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient evaluations, treatment documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries using Epic EMR.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, treatment discussions, and discharge coordination as appropriate.
  • Support departmental initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, quality of care, and access to rehabilitation services.
  • Follow established clinical protocols, patient safety standards, professional practice guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Adapt treatment approaches to meet the needs of diverse patient populations across hospital-based and community rehabilitation settings.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
