Location: [Hybrid / SF Bay Area / Toronto] Type: Full-time Company: Nexxa.AI http://Nexxa.AI

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Product Designer with exceptional taste and a point of view.

Someone who obsesses over the details that make a product feel premium: hierarchy, typography, spacing, motion, interaction, responsiveness, transitions, and the moments between the moments.

But more importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to help change what the user experience of AI actually looks and feels like.

AI products are introducing entirely new ways of working, but too many of them are still built around the same interfaces we’ve used for decades. At Nexxa, we’re building AI for complex industrial environments, where intelligence needs to feel clear, intuitive, trustworthy, and actionable.

You’ll help define that experience.

This role sits heavily within UX/UI and product experience, taking complicated systems, workflows, data, and AI capabilities and turning them into products people immediately understand and want to use.

We want someone with niche, elevated, premium taste who can push us beyond conventional SaaS design and help establish a product experience that feels distinctly Nexxa.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Own product design across key areas of the Nexxa platform, from early concepts through production-ready experiences.

- Design intuitive experiences around AI recommendations, agents, automation, approvals, decision-making, and complex operational workflows.

- Explore new interaction patterns for how users communicate with, understand, supervise, and act alongside AI.

- Turn dense information and complex industrial processes into interfaces that feel simple, deliberate, and highly usable.

- Create polished UX/UI across dashboards, workflows, command centers, agent experiences, and emerging AI-native interfaces.

- Prototype interactions and product concepts quickly to test ideas before they reach engineering.

- Think deeply about interaction design, transitions, states, feedback, and motion rather than designing only static screens.

- Work closely with product, engineering, AI, and leadership to turn ambitious ideas into real products.

- Contribute to and evolve our design system without allowing the system to constrain great design.

- Sweat the details. We care deeply about how the product feels, not only whether it functions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You have a portfolio that makes us stop scrolling.

Your work demonstrates exceptional visual and product taste, especially within UX/UI. You understand how to make complex software feel refined without sacrificing usability.

You’re equally comfortable thinking about the bigger experience and spending an unreasonable amount of time perfecting a single interaction.

You likely:

- Have strong experience designing sophisticated digital products, platforms, or complex workflows.

- Have an exceptional eye for layout, typography, composition, hierarchy, interaction, and detail.

- Understand UX deeply and can explain the reasoning behind your decisions.

- Know how to simplify complexity without stripping away the information users actually need.

- Are comfortable designing from ambiguity rather than waiting for a perfect product brief.

- Think in systems, flows, states, and interactions, not just individual screens.

- Prototype confidently in Figma or similar tools.

- Can work closely with engineers and understand what it takes to move a design from concept to production.

- Have strong opinions, loosely held, and can defend your work with thoughtful reasoning.

A BIG PLUS

- Motion design or advanced interaction design experience.

- Experience designing AI-native products, agents, copilots, or intelligent workflows.

- Experience with data-heavy, enterprise, industrial, operational, or technical products.

- Experience building prototypes that communicate not just what a product looks like, but how it behaves.

- An interest in emerging interface patterns and what comes after the traditional dashboard.

YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF

You’re hungry.

You like startups because you want ownership, speed, ambiguity, and the opportunity to build something before the playbook exists.

You don’t need five meetings to start exploring an idea.

You’re comfortable having your work challenged, challenging other people’s thinking, throwing away something that isn’t good enough, and pushing until the experience feels right.

You care about building something exceptional more than protecting your first idea.

And you want to look back a few years from now and say you helped define how people interact with AI at work.

WHY NEXXA

Nexxa is building specialized AI for heavy industries.

We’re creating intelligent systems that connect information, decisions, and execution across functions that have historically operated in silos. That means solving problems where the UX is not obvious, the workflows are complex, and the opportunity to rethink how software works is enormous.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your time reskinning existing SaaS patterns.

You’ll have the opportunity to help define an entirely new product category and the interaction language that comes with it.

If your instinct is to question what an AI interface should be instead of copying what already exists, we want to meet you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
