Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.

In this role you will implement and enforce mission assurance plans for individual spacecraft flight hardware programs addressing design, manufacturing, integration, and test activities in accordance with company and contractual requirements. • Collect and organize data related to product quality, process defects, and nonconformances; support basic trend analysis and reporting for cross‑functional teams.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality plans, inspection checklists, and work instructions to support consistent execution on the production floor.
  • Support definition and control of quality characteristics for products and processes, helping to update control plans and quality documentation as requirements evolve, and participate in process verification activities (e.g., checklists, forms, templates) to ensure procedures are followed and records are audit‑ready.
  • Support corrective action processes by gathering and validating objective evidence, tracking closure, and ensuring documentation meets internal and customer requirements.
  • Identify process gaps or recurring documentation errors and support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing improvements, tracking actions, verifying implementation, and ensuring updates are reflected in procedures and forms.
  • Assist senior quality engineers in reviewing nonconformances, documenting dispositions, and helping manage nonconformance records across the facility, including tracking closure and ensuring rework/scrap/repair actions are properly recorded and documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and production floor personnel (inspection, assembly, operations) to ensure quality requirements and documentation are understood and followed, quality issues are resolved, and production is supported.
  • Provide clear, concise updates on quality issues, status of nonconformances, and required actions to team members and supervisors, and support cross‑functional containment activities when issues arise to protect the customer and maintain production flow.
  • Other duties as assigned

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
