Help shape the future working with the most advanced radar systems in the industry! Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector Test Engineering organization is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer - Antenna Test to be an instrumental part of Northrop Grumman's Antenna Test Development Team.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Test software architecture and development related to phased array testing
- Test software architecture and development for automating test processes and data analysis
- Lead test software development teams across multiple software projects
- Mentor early career engineers
- Define software requirements based on product test requirements
- Develop test plans and lead software integration efforts
- Support production test and lead troubleshooting efforts
- Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
- Maintain sensitivity to cost, schedule and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications for an Staff Antenna Test Software Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience, or a PhD with 8 years of experience in a STEM discipline.
- Professional software development experience using languages such as C++, Python, etc.
- Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.
- Professional software architecture experience
- Professional leadership experience leading software teams through software development projects
- Leadership experience through mentoring and/or team leadership
- Current Active Secret Clearance with Special Access Program (SAP)
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Software development experience with RF and antenna systems
- Test software development experience in a nearfield and/or compact antenna range
- RF test experience and/or antenna test/range experience
- Familiarity with RF and antenna theory
- Professional software development experience using MATLAB

Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
