Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Systems Test Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT supporting the Sentinel Program.

What You'll Get To Do:

The selected engineer will be responsible for multiple tasks supporting requirement derivation and verification planning for the Command Systems (CS) Integration and Test Team. The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks dealing with requirement decomposition, compliance tracking, and verification planning and verification execution. This will also include:

  • Synthesizing customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledges technical schedule and cost constraints.
  • Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for subsystem components.
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities.
  • Support development of the program Integrated Test Plan (ITP) for the CS segment.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
  • Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 Years with Bachelors in STEM; 0 Years with Masters.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • 1+ years of experience with schedule management, risk management and performance management
  • 1+ years of experience working within a multi-team environment
  • 1+ years of experience tracking hardware delivery dates
  • 1+ years of experience tracking return to green plans on material slips
  • 1+ years of experience with a Test environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading hardware procurement/supply chain operations
  • Experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations (functional decomposition)
  • Experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDraw
  • Experience with one or more of the following: flight test, ground test, military aerospace development (e.g. Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2, B-21 delivery systems)
  • Experience with Agile Project Management
  • Experience with tableau and data analytics
  • Experience with earned value management knowledge in a program management capacity
  • Experience with creating and monitoring test metrics
  • Experience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout).
  • Experience with maintaining hardware configuration for facilities buildup

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
