We are a friendly, supportive and committed department that currently has six members of staff and is housed in a dedicated suite of rooms. The leadership structure includes an MFL Subject Leader with TLR 3 roles available for projects linked to the school or department development planning.
The Modern Foreign Languages department at Nicholas Chamberlaine School is a committed and supportive team with a shared ambition to develop confident, enthusiastic and successful language learners.
French and Spanish are taught across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong emphasis on developing students' communication skills, cultural understanding and confidence in using another language.
We are committed to developing an ambitious and engaging curriculum that builds knowledge progressively and enables students of all abilities to achieve well. Our approach places importance on effective teaching, regular assessment and adapting learning to meet the needs of all students.
