Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst is an intermediate‑level IT role responsible for independently supporting business applications, performing functional analysis, and contributing to system enhancements. The role requires applied systems knowledge, analytical judgment, and effective collaboration across business and technical teams. Success is measured by system reliability, quality of analysis, issue resolution effectiveness, and contribution to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Business analysis: Engage stakeholders to understand objectives, document current and future-state processes, elicit and prioritize requirements, identify gaps, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Oracle EBS support: Provide functional support for applicable Oracle EBS modules, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, configuration assessment, testing, documentation, and user guidance.
  • Manufacturing process enablement: Support integrated processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, plan-to-produce, inventory management, cost accounting, record-to-report, and quality management.
  • Shop-floor systems ownership and integration: Support the functional operation and lifecycle of manufacturing execution systems (MES), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), human-machine interface (HMI), machine connectivity, data collection, labeling, quality, and other plant-floor applications. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Operational Technology, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and vendors to integrate these systems with Oracle EBS and related platforms; define transactional and master-data flows; monitor interfaces; reconcile production, material, labor, quality, and equipment data; troubleshoot disruptions; and coordinate testing, upgrades, deployments, and site standardization with minimal production impact.
  • Integrations: Analyze and support interfaces between Oracle EBS and manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, banking, customer, supplier, and other enterprise platforms. Coordinate monitoring, error resolution, data reconciliation, and enhancement requirements.
  • Reporting and analytics: Develop and support operational and management reporting using approved tools such as Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Reports, SQL-based data extracts, data warehouses, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Solution delivery: Create functional specifications, process flows, data mappings, test scripts, training materials, and deployment plans. Partner with technical teams and vendors through design, build, validation, release, and stabilization.
  • Testing and release management: Lead or coordinate unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; document results; manage defects; and confirm business readiness.
  • Data quality and controls: Help maintain accurate master and transactional data, role-based access, segregation-of-duties considerations, audit evidence, and compliance with divisional and corporate policies.
  • Operational support: Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and minor enhancements in line with service levels. Communicate impact, workarounds, progress, and resolution to stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, standardize practices across sites, reduce manual work, strengthen controls, and improve system adoption and business performance.
  • Knowledge management: Maintain process, configuration, support, and training documentation; contribute to knowledge articles; and provide effective knowledge transfer to users and support teams.
  • Global collaboration: Work across locations, functions, cultures, and time zones while aligning divisional priorities with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and governance standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years supporting Oracle EBS, ERP, MES, or plant-floor applications in a manufacturing environment.
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle EBS manufacturing and supply-chain modules, including Inventory, Bills of Material, Work in Process, Cost Management, Quality, Order Management, or Procurement.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, shop-floor systems, and production data such as orders, routings, material, labor, inventory, cost, and quality.
  • Experience supporting Oracle EBS integrations through APIs, middleware, EDI, database, or file-based interfaces.
  • Ability to gather requirements, map processes, prepare specifications, coordinate testing, and support deployments with minimal production disruption.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or reporting tools for troubleshooting, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of traceability, serialization, nonconformance, product genealogy, OEE, and plant performance metrics.
  • Experience with Oracle BI Publisher, Power BI, OTBI, data warehouses, or similar analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with OT/IT controls, cybersecurity, data governance, change control, disaster recovery, and SOX requirements.
  • Experience with manufacturing-system implementations, upgrades, site rollouts, or process standardization.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
