Company Description

We are seeking an experienced and outcome-oriented Senior Product Manager to drive the design and delivery of the analytical products within NIQ’s Store Intelligence portfolio – the location intelligence, Gen AI-enabled, and API/platform capabilities built on top of NIQ’s retail store reference data. As the Senior Product Manager for NIQ Store Intelligence, you will translate customer and business needs into a clear product roadmap and prioritized requirements for your product line, contributing to the overall Store Intelligence strategy; partner closely with engineering, data science, design, operations, and commercial teams; and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that are continuously refreshed and available to clients. This role requires strong product judgment, cross-functional influence, and a practical understanding of Gen AI, geospatial and location analytics, data products and APIs, technology frameworks, and modern product development practices.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Contribute to the Store Intelligence product vision and strategy set by the Product Director and own the vision and strategy for the location-based analytical product line, aligned with company goals, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Ensure the analytical product line is relevant and delivers value to key client segments including Manufacturers, Retailers, Distributors, Agentic Commerce and Digital Platform Providers, in partnership with the Trade Dimensions product line that supplies the underlying store reference data.
  • Define and communicate the roadmap for the analytical product line, ensuring alignment with the overall Store Intelligence roadmap, business objectives, and customer needs.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional product squads through influence, partnering with data scientists, engineers, designers, operations, and commercial teams to create a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Provide product leadership, coaching, and subject-matter guidance to colleagues and delivery partners, while contributing to the continuous improvement of product management practices.

Market Analysis and Customer Engagement:

  • Analyze the location intelligence, retail analytics, and Gen AI markets to identify trends, client needs, portfolio gaps, growth opportunities, and competitive offerings.
  • Engage with customers, market teams, sales, and delivery stakeholders to understand how Store Intelligence analytics are used, gather feedback, and convert insights into product improvements and new offerings.

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned Store Intelligence analytical capabilities (e.g. location analytics, Gen AI features, APIs, and partner/platform integrations), from discovery and business case through requirements, delivery, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog; define clear requirements and acceptance criteria for analytical methods, user experience, APIs, performance, and delivery; and partner with engineering, data science, and design teams to deliver high-quality capabilities on time.

AI and Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Drive the use of Gen AI, data, and analytics both within the products (e.g. natural-language querying, automated insights, agentic workflows) and in product decision-making, leveraging usage insights to iterate on products and enhance user experiences.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators such as adoption, usage, API consumption, insight accuracy, time-to-value, revenue, and customer satisfaction to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate product priorities, trade-offs, plans, risks, and results clearly to internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, market teams, and client delivery to shape packaging and positioning, support go-to-market plans and enable successful launches and adoption of Store Intelligence analytical offerings.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex data, analytics, platform, or location-based products.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated experience building analytical or location intelligence products on top of reference data, including defining analytical use cases, integrating via APIs and platforms, and applying Gen AI to data products; working familiarity with store and location reference data sourcing, harmonization, and quality.
  • Product Leadership: Proven ability to lead through influence, align diverse stakeholders, manage trade-offs, and guide cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of data products, APIs, analytics, Gen AI and LLM-based applications, geospatial data, data science, software development processes, and relevant NIQ platforms and operational workflows.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable product plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to understanding stated and unstated customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
