About the role
Nirvana is building the infrastructure layer for healthcare eligibility verification and revenue cycle automation. We work with large behavioral health and specialty care organizations to replace manual insurance workflows with accurate, real-time data. We’re backed by Inspired Capital, Eniac Ventures, and Northzone.
This is an individual contributor Senior PM role reporting to our CTPO. You will help own product for Nirvana’s core API: the platform that powers real-time eligibility, patient cost-share, and payer policy data for our customers, along with the agentic automation systems that eliminate manual verification at patient intake. You’ll work closely with engineering and go-to-market to define and ship products that move us toward full workflow automation.
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely AI-native. You don’t just manage AI products; you use AI every day to think, prototype, analyze, and ship faster. You have strong opinions about what agents can and can’t do today, and you’re excited to define what fully automated eligibility looks like in practice.
What you’ll own
- Product for Nirvana’s core API: the eligibility, cost-share, and payer policy capabilities our customers and internal products build on, including API design, reliability, data quality, and developer experience
- The agentic automation roadmap: phone agents, portal agents, and the integrations that power end-to-end eligibility verification without human intervention
- Product strategy for how our systems determine patient cost-share obligations, prior authorization requirements, and payer-specific policy rules at scale
- Close collaboration with ML and engineering on model instrumentation, evaluation criteria, and how model and agent outputs surface through the API and in customer-facing products
- Defining what “good” looks like for our agents: evals, failure modes, human-in-the-loop thresholds, and the path to removing the human entirely
- Discovery and prioritization: working with CS, sales, and customers to find where manual effort persists and turning that into a clear product bet
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least one meaningful promotion on your record
- You’re AI-pilled. You use LLMs and AI tools daily in your own work (prototyping, writing specs, analyzing data, building quick internal tools), and you can point to concrete ways AI has changed how you operate as a PM
- Hands-on experience shipping products built on LLMs or AI agents. You understand prompting, evals, tool use, latency and cost tradeoffs, and why agents fail in production
- Genuine data fluency: you’ve written SQL, worked with model outputs, shaped instrumentation, and made product decisions grounded in how systems actually behave
- Experience owning an API or platform product. You understand how developers and downstream systems consume what you ship, and you think about versioning, reliability, and data contracts
- Experience shipping workflow automation or complex system orchestration. You know what it takes to build toward a fully automated outcome
- Comfort working across technical and non-technical stakeholders; you don’t need an engineer to translate for you
- Strong written and verbal communication; you can synthesize ambiguous signals into a clear, defensible product direction
- You’ve thrived in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment and know how to make progress without perfect information or a fully staffed team
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, or another API-driven, regulated industry is a plus. RCM or eligibility domain knowledge is a meaningful differentiator
What you won’t find here
- A fully defined roadmap handed to you. You’ll shape it
- Layers of process before you can talk to a customer or an engineer
- A role where “data-informed” means pulling a dashboard someone else built
- A team that’s skeptical of AI. We build with it and work with it every day
How we support you
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401K
- Hybrid, dog-friendly office (3 days a week)
- Generous PTO
- $1,000 per year Mental Health Wellness Benefits
- Stocked office kitchen
- Remote home office support
- Equity compensation packages
- Open door policy and collaborative culture
