The posting

At NN, we want engineers to spend less time figuring out how to get things done and more time delivering great software. Our guiding idea is simple: make good things easy, and bad things hard. In both the code we build and the experience we create for the people using our platform.

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer for our Internal Developer Portals DX team to help make that happen. Could this be you? Read on to see if you think this is a match.

What you are going to do

  • Work closely with engineering teams contributing to Zelda, NN’s Internal Developer Portal, built on the open-source Backstage framework
  • Understand the needs of engineering teams, support their contributions and help them meet their own product goals and deadlines
  • Combine hands-on engineering with close collaboration across teams
  • Improve the portal and the contribution experience by building platform components and scaffolding, writing linting rules and shaping API integration patterns with the right authorisation
  • Strengthen CI/CD processes and automated testing
  • Work with a tech stack that includes AWS, Kubernetes, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Postgres and OpenSearch
  • Streamline inner source contributions by gathering feedback, triaging bugs and prioritising pull requests, while helping teams keep their own product delivery unblocked
  • Keep teams aligned through shared channels, ensuring that questions, decisions and knowledge are transparently shared with everyone involved
  • Help shape how we use AI coding agents by improving the guidance, workflows and tools used by both contributors and the agents they work with

What we offer you

NN invests in an inclusive, inspiring work environment and in skills and competences for the future. We match this with employee benefits that are in line with what is needed today and in the future. This way, we offer our employees the opportunity to get the best out of themselves.

We offer you:

  • Salary between €5,030 and €6,707 based on a 40-hour working week depending on your knowledge and experience
  • 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
  • 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and 3 Diversity Days
  • A modern pension administered by BeFrank
  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel, also privately. Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometres travelled
  • Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use

Who you are

  • You are a full stack engineer with a strong customer mindset and care about the experience of the people using and contributing to the products you build
  • You are comfortable balancing technical quality with real-world user and contributor needs
  • You bring at least 6 years of engineering experience, including experience with TypeScript, Node.js and React
  • You have an interest in platform engineering and are keen to work with Backstage, APIs and authorisation, cloud technologies, CI/CD, scaffolding and automated testing
  • You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating across different teams
  • You are able to turn feedback into practical improvements
  • You are eager to learn, do not expect to know everything from day one and actively share what you discover

Who you will work with

You’ll join the Zelda team within NN’s Engineering Experience & Platforms department. We’ve adopted Marty Cagan’s “No Asshole” rule: we’re looking for people who are good at what they do, and nice to work with.

You’ll collaborate with teams across NN, including ServiceNow, Andromeda (Container as a Service) and Asgard (Managed API Gateway), as well as colleagues in architecture and security. Together, you’ll help improve how teams build, contribute to and deliver on our platforms.

Will you be our new colleague?

We value the knowledge and expertise you bring. We believe that your commitment can take our organization to a higher level. That is why we would like to get to know you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
