The posting

We are seeking an experienced Body Repair Mechanic/ auto body technician/frame machine technician to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in collision repair, body reconstruction, surface preparation, and/or automotive painting. Precision, quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently are essential. This position is open to applicants with experience in either: Vehicle painting/refinishing or Vehicle body repair, panel replacement, welding, dent repair, and structural adjustments If focusing on Body Repair: Repair, replace, and align damaged body panels and components Perform dent removal, grinding, sanding, welding, and structural work Frame straightening and alignment using professional equipment Remove windows, bumpers, doors, and exterior components as needed Work closely with paint team for finishing and color matching General Workshop Duties (Both Roles): Maintain clean workspaces and follow safety procedures Use tools and equipment correctly (welders, spray guns, lifts, polishers) Prepare documentation of repairs and communicate with team Follow environmental and chemical handling regulations Work 8am to 5pm every workday Overtime if there are a lot of projects and when more trust is established more work is possible Requirements Minimum 2 years professional experience in auto painting or body repair Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results Good knowledge of workshop tools and repair processes Valid driver’s license (B-category) Communicative English or Icelandic required Preferred Qualifications (not required) Vocational training in automotive repair or bodywork Experience with aluminum, composite panels, or plastic repair Experience with EV body repairs and safety procedures Knowledge of metallic, matte, pearl, or custom finish painting Welding certifications Benefits Benefits Legal employment contract under Icelandic law Full support with legal residency and work permits Provided accommodation Access to a rental car (individual or shared with other employees) Work alongside experienced professionals in the industry
