We are expanding our production and building a strong team for our new manufacturing facility in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

Quality, technology, safety and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team and play a key role in creating a safe, responsible and high-performing industrial environment.

๐ŸŽฏ The Opportunity

As an HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving our Health, Safety and Environmental practices, ensuring compliance with Portuguese legislation and promoting a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.

๐Ÿ”Ž Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environmental procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with Portuguese legislation regarding Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental requirements;
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose corrective and preventive measures;
  • Promote and deliver health and safety awareness and training;
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, preparing reports and action plans;
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, machinery and equipment;
  • Monitor and promote the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
  • Manage mandatory legal documentation related to Health, Safety and Environment;
  • Support and accompany inspections and audits carried out by external authorities and organizations;
  • Coordinate emergency drills and contribute to the development and updating of emergency plans;
  • Promote environmental best practices, including waste management, energy efficiency and the reduction of environmental impact;
  • Develop and monitor HSE performance indicators and reports;
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively contribute to building a strong safety culture.

๐Ÿงฉ What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a responsible, proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about safety, sustainability and continuous improvement and who wants to contribute to the development of a new industrial operation.

Requirements

  • Higher education or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related field;
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial environment;
  • Good knowledge of Portuguese Occupational Health & Safety legislation;
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards;
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken;
  • Availability to work the afternoon shift, in line with the shift pattern practiced in production;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • High level of responsibility, organization and attention to detail;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A strong continuous improvement mindset.
