The posting

North Reading Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach for the Spring 2027 season. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

This position is anticipated to run from March 2027 until completion of the Spring season.

Essential Duties

  • Develop seasonal, weekly, daily practice schedule
  • Teach rules, skills, and game strategies of the sport
  • Develop team rules and regulations regarding team discipline
  • Attend and supervise team activities including awards presentations
  • Distribute and collect equipment pre- and post- season
  • Implement and enforce student handbook, MIAA, & CAL rules
  • Assist in the storage, care, condition, and safety of practice and game equipment
  • Inspect practice and playing facilities & report unsafe conditions
  • Assist with transportation if appropriate (drive school supplied van)
  • Other duties as requested by Varsity Coach, Director of Athletics & Student Activities, and/or their Designee

Requirements

  • Coaching and playing experience
  • Appropriate certification and/or license
  • MIAA Coach's Certification preferred
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
