About the Role NorthCo Services is an Ottawa-based renovation company that holds a higher standard - for the work we put our name on, for how we treat clients, and for how we treat each other. We're growing fast, we're a tight-knit crew that takes the craft seriously without taking ourselves too seriously, and we're looking to add a skilled Drywall Finisher & Mudder to the team. This is a full-time role for someone who can take a wall from bare board to paint-ready and finished - clean, smooth, and done right. If you take real pride in a flawless finish and want to work with a crew that actually cares about quality, this is your lane. What You'll Be Doing Tape, mud, and finish drywall to a high-quality standard Apply drywall compound to seams, joints, corners, screws, and imperfections for a smooth, professional finish Sand and prepare drywall surfaces for primer and paint Identify and repair drywall deficiencies, cracks, holes, and damaged areas Prepare surfaces for painting - filling, sanding, caulking, masking, and priming Apply primer and paint to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other interior surfaces Complete touch-ups and finishing work with strong attention to detail Protect floors, furniture, cabinetry, and surrounding areas before starting Keep a clean, organized work area throughout the project Communicate with Project Managers and teammates on progress, deficiencies, and material needs Work respectfully in occupied homes and deliver a professional experience for homeowners Follow all company health and safety procedures Our Core Values Do the right thing: We act with integrity, even when no one's watching. Requirements What We're Looking For Professional experience with drywall mudding, taping, sanding, and finishing Residential painting experience Ability to produce a smooth, paint-ready drywall finish Comfortable handling both drywall finishing and painting work Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team Reliable, dependable, and strong at managing your time Professional and respectful in clients' homes Open to feedback with a positive, solutions-focused attitude Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation Able to meet the physical demands of the role - lifting materials, climbing ladders, bending, and working on your feet Nice to Have Own basic hand tools Experience working in residential renovations Benefits Dental care Extended health care PTO
