Role Summary

The Product Manager – Money Movement supports the strategy, development, delivery, and ongoing evolution of digital payment capabilities across Wealth Management. This role manages products and client journeys spanning ACH, wires, internal and external transfers, bill payments, and related fraud and risk controls.

Working across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Legal, Design, and external partners, the Product Manager translates client and business needs into clear product requirements and executable plans. This individual owns assigned initiatives throughout the product lifecycle, balancing client experience, payment reliability, operational efficiency, fraud prevention, regulatory requirements, and delivery feasibility.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned Money Movement products and client journeys, contributing to product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, and execution.
  • Lead initiatives from discovery through implementation and optimization, including requirements, process design, testing, operational readiness, launch, and post-launch assessment.
  • Translate client, business, operational, and control needs into clear business requirements, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner across Technology, Operations, Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Design, Service, and Product to deliver secure, intuitive, and scalable payment experiences.
  • Incorporate key Money Movement controls, including authentication, authorization, transaction limits, fraud monitoring, verification, approvals, notifications, and exception handling.
  • Collaborate with Technology to understand payment processing workflows, APIs, integrations, data flows, platform capabilities, and downstream dependencies, translating technical considerations into business impacts.
  • Use client feedback, transaction data, operational insights, production issues, fraud trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify payment journeys, automate manual processes, improve straight-through processing, strengthen controls, and enhance client and partner experiences.
  • Partner with Agile delivery teams on backlog refinement, PI and sprint planning, dependency management, testing, defect resolution, implementation readiness, and releases.
  • Monitor product performance through measures such as digital adoption, payment success rates, transaction volumes, exception rates, processing times, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and delivery blockers while providing clear stakeholder communication on priorities, progress, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, product development, payments, digital banking, financial services, business analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of banking and payment products, preferably including ACH, wires, account transfers, bill payments, transaction processing, or other digital Money Movement capabilities.
  • Experience across the product development lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through implementation and post-launch support.
  • Strong requirements-management skills, including experience developing epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and process flows.
  • Understanding of how digital experiences connect with APIs, payment platforms, transaction-processing systems, fraud solutions, and downstream operations.
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention, authentication, authorization, transaction limits, regulatory requirements, operational controls, and information security within payments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify client pain points, process gaps, controls, dependencies, and opportunities for simplification.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Legal, Design, and Client Service.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to translate complex payment and technology concepts into clear business language.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies while maintaining focus on delivery quality, risk, controls, and client outcomes.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or Miro.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Payments, or FinTech.
  • Experience with Money Movement capabilities such as ACH, wires, account-to-account transfers, bill pay, P2P payments, real-time payments, or payment authorization.
  • Familiarity with payment concepts and standards including Nacha/ACH rules, Fedwire, SWIFT, ISO 20022, RTP®, FedNow®, settlement, returns, recalls, and exception processing.
  • Experience with payment fraud, transaction monitoring, client verification, authentication, authorization, alerts and notifications, or transaction limits.
  • Experience supporting API integrations, payment-platform modernization, digital transformation, or straight-through-processing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of payment operations, including exceptions, investigations, returns, rejected payments, reconciliation, and servicing.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
