We're growing! Join our team as a Business Development Officer in Business Lending

Are you driven, curious, detail-oriented, and great at building relationships?

We're seeking a Business Development Officer to build and cultivate relationships with businesses throughout our communities. This is an opportunity to combine business development, financial analysis, and lending expertise while helping local businesses grow and succeed.

What Is the Role?

This is much more than a sales role.

Our Business Development Officers manage business relationships from beginning to end. You'll develop new business opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, analyze financial information, structure lending solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to business members.

You'll work directly with business owners, community leaders, and internal teams to identify opportunities, generate loans and deposits, evaluate credit risk, and help businesses achieve their goals while maintaining sound lending practices.

What You'll Be Doing:

📈 Developing new business loan and deposit relationships

🤝 Growing and strengthening existing member partnerships

📊 Analyzing business financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and credit information

📝 Structuring loan requests and preparing credit memos

💡 Presenting lending recommendations and financial solutions

🏢 Representing the Credit Union at community and business events

🔍 Managing and monitoring a portfolio of business relationships

🎯 Helping members navigate challenges and opportunities as their businesses grow

Qualifications:

✔ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience preferred

✔ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

✔ NMLS licensing required (or ability to obtain)

✔ Experience in business lending, commercial credit analysis, mortgage lending, business development, sales, or financial services preferred

✔ Preferred experience in mortgage and/or business lending
