Responsibilities

The Invasive Cardiac Specialist - Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) demonstrates professional development and clinical competency. Utilizes the invasive cardiology process to address health educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers. Manages patient care assignments, as well as other organizational tasks, related to patient and unit operations. Applies knowledge of growth and development needs from adolescent through geriatric patients. Assists with invasive procedures in the roles of hemodynamic monitoring, circulating, and scrubbing with physicians.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Desired:

  • One year in a cath lab
  • For Indiana: Cardiac Catheterization Radiographer Certificate
