Madison is also an Indiana Cultural District celebrated for its historic architecture, public art, music, and several vibrant festivals and events year-round. And if you like sports, enjoy watching the Bengals, Reds, Colts, or Pacers, as well as Louisville Bats (Cincinnati AAA) or the Louisville and Cincinnati FC soccer teams.

Norton King’s Daughters’ Health is the primary healthcare system serving Madison and the surrounding region. Offering comprehensive medical care to residents of southeastern Indiana and parts of northern Kentucky, it has a primary and secondary catchment area of ~60,000. In 2022, NKDH joined the Norton Healthcare family, based in Louisville, Kentucky. Integrating a family-centered approach to care, Norton King’s Daughters’ Health offers a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, orthopedic, pediatric, cancer care and intensive care services. The 86-bed hospital offers a 24/7 emergency department and a heliport for critical care transport, a comprehensive rehabilitation center with aquatic services, a comprehensive joint replacement program, women’s health and maternity services, and a fully integrated cancer care center.

About the Positions

  • $60,000 sign-on bonus in addition to a $100,000 recruitment incentive for residents or a $60,000 retention bonus for experienced candidates
  • Full-time schedules of four days a week or part-time in outpatient-only setting
  • Continuing medical education (CME) opportunities within Norton Healthcare and funds available for additional CME
  • Norton Medical Group provides support staff in each office with a multifunctional team, led by a practice manager, to handle day-to-day operations, including billing, coding, recruiting, information services and more, allowing physicians to focus on patient care
  • Recognized by National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient-Centered Medical Home

The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
