Therapist 1 FTE Thunder Bay One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.   We are currently seeking 1 FTE Therapist for the Community Wellness Hubs to provide client-centered clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role supports individuals facing barriers to healthcare access, including those who are underhoused, living with mental health challenges, experiencing substance use, managing complex health conditions, and individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers to Canada, or who are uninsured or underinsured. The successful candidate will be committed to health equity, cultural safety, and accessible care for underserved communities   The Therapist provides evidence-based, trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan, within a community-based primary care setting. Services are delivered in a culturally safe, client-centred manner that respects diverse backgrounds, traditions, values, and lived experiences. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support client-centred care and community wellness initiatives.   The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and an excellent group health benefit package.   The salary range for this position is $66,881 to $83,187 annually. Compensation will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.   We do not use AI to screen resumes.   QUALIFICATIONS:  

Master's degree in a health-related or social science discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a related field). Current registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the College of Psychologists of Ontario, or another relevant regulatory body. Minimum of two years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy and mental health treatment, including working with individuals experiencing complex mental health concerns. Experience working in community-based and outpatient mental health settings, applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions, community outreach, health promotion, harm reduction approaches, and the delivery of client-centred services in diverse community environments. Experience working from a trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally responsive lens. Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to the social, economic, cultural, and health issues affecting diverse and equity-deserving populations. Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to implement and evaluate interventions effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interprofessional team environment. Experience facilitating both individual and group-based therapeutic interventions. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic charting systems. Valid Ontario driver's license
