Your impact begins here

As Product Owner, you will take full ownership of two global facility monitoring systems (FMS) that track environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, CO2, diff Pressure etc.) across Novo. The FMS supports product release and compliance, so they need clear direction and reliable delivery. You will bring that responsibility in-house, setting the strategy, priorities and budget that keep quality and supply moving.

What you’ll bring

You are preferably already working as a Product Owner and are ready to take clear ownership of a product’s strategy, priorities, backlog and finances.

You will also bring:

  • An academic degree preferably in IT or business. Relevant experience counts as much as the path you took to get here.
  • Around 3+ years of Product Owner experience, combined with broader relevant experience.
  • Strong IT strategic understanding and experience shaping and owning the longer-term direction of a product.
  • An understanding of technical and solution architecture at design level. You don’t need to be a deep technical specialist.
  • Experience with cost management and budgeting.
  • Strong written and spoken English. The team and stakeholder environment is fully international and works in English.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Understanding of compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience from production or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of facility monitoring systems, including the FMS solutions used at Novo.
  • Experience with agile ways of working.

On a personal level, you bring the maturity to take ownership, make decisions and prioritise competing demands while staying effective under pressure. You are also able to lead informally and build strong stakeholder relationships across functions and cultures.

What you’ll do

The two FMS solutions offer different functionality, so the right one can be chosen for each site and situation. Your job is to give both a clear direction and to make sure the product team delivers what matters most.

  • Own the overall direction of both global FMS systems, setting the product strategy and longer-term roadmap.
  • Own and prioritise the backlog, deciding what gets delivered and when, based on business needs and input from the product team.
  • Lead the product team informally, aligning roles, responsibilities and deliverables so the team works effectively together.
  • Manage costs, budgeting and the financial model, making sure costs are covered and following up on actual spend against budget.
  • Manage stakeholders proactively. Spot potential issues early and bring the right people in before problems escalate.
  • Act as the first escalation point when significant issues arise with the product or its implementations, and set a clear example on quality.

Who you’ll work with

You will join Monitoring and Control Solutions, the area that sets the strategic direction for global monitoring and control systems at Novo. The team is based at the Novo IT hub in Høje Taastrup, Denmark, and works closely online with stakeholders and the application vendor around the world. You can expect to spend much of your week in the office with your team.

Your closest colleagues will be your product team: a Product Manager, Business Analysts, Implementation Leads, a Compliance Partner, a Solution Architect and System Managers. Beyond the team, you will coordinate with Line of Business, implementation teams, lifecycle management, architecture and the application vendors. The systems serve factories and laboratories globally, so your priorities will affect sites across many countries and cultures. Your role is to bring these perspectives together, create clarity when things stall and keep work moving at pace.

What you can expect here

This is a role with real ownership. You will be trusted to make decisions about two global systems, and your voice will shape where they go next. You will build broad experience across IT strategy, finance, architecture and manufacturing-related compliance, all in one product area.

You will work in a team that values a quality mindset, honest dialogue and an informal working climate, where colleagues support each other and never compromise on quality. Clear priorities and ambitious goals mean your results will be visible and recognised.

What we offer

At Novo Nordisk, you’ll join a global healthcare company with a unique culture and strong results. We offer continuous learning, career development, and benefits tailored to your life and career stage.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 DKK to 1,091,600 DKK corresponding to the level of the position. **Incentives and Benefits:**The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
