The posting

Join a research environment where your work directly supports the discovery of future therapies for obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. As an Advanced Laboratory Technician, you will plan, conduct and report preclinical large animal studies, generating high-quality data that helps move research programs forward. Working closely with scientists and fellow laboratory technicians, you will contribute to studies that are critical to our research pipeline and our ambition to drive scientific innovation.

The role is primarily based in Ganløse, however working cross functional means that some activities and meetings will take place in Måløv.

Your new role

As an Advanced Laboratory Technician, you will take end-to-end ownership of in vivo pharmacology studies preferably in large animals, working closely with scientists to deliver high-quality experimental outcomes that support our drug discovery projects

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Plan, conduct and report preclinical pharmacology studies, primarily in large animal models, supporting research within obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
  • Perform a range of in vivo procedures, including dosing, blood sampling, tissue collection and surgical procedures, while ensuring high scientific and ethical standards.
  • Generate high-quality data and documentation that support decision-making across research projects.
  • Collaborate closely with scientists and fellow laboratory technicians to plan studies, share knowledge and achieve project goals.
  • Maintain accurate study documentation and data records using electronic laboratory systems.
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient and collaborative laboratory environment while supporting continuous improvements in ways of working.

Your new department

You will join a collaborative team of 10 laboratory technicians working closely together in our large animal research facility. Teamwork is an essential part of everyday work, from study planning to execution, and colleagues rely on one another to ensure high-quality research outcomes.

The team is part of Obesity and Comorbidities Pharmacology and supports research across obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Working alongside multidisciplinary project teams, you will contribute to studies that help generate the insights needed to advance future therapies.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a laboratory technician who enjoys hands-on research and thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring experience from in vivo studies and are motivated by contributing to high-quality science that supports the discovery of future therapies.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A Laboratory Technician degree or a similar qualification within biomedical sciences, pharmacology or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience working with in vivo studies.
  • Experience performing in vivo procedures and handling experimental data and study documentation.
  • Familiarity with electronic laboratory documentation systems.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different disciplines.
  • Experience working with large animal models is considered an advantage.

You work in a structured and quality-focused manner and take pride in delivering reliable results. You enjoy working closely with colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting team success. As a person, you are pragmatic, approachable and eager to learn, with a strong sense of responsibility and respect for the ethical standards required in animal research. You are equally comfortable contributing to established ways of working and identifying opportunities to improve processes and laboratory practices.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
