About the Role

The Director of LV/Fiber Deployment leads the planning, execution, and operational handoff of low-voltage and fiber infrastructure deployments across data center, edge, and network facilities. This leader ensures deployments are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality and reliability standards.

The role owns the end-to-end deployment lifecycle: design coordination, vendor strategy, material readiness, field execution, commissioning support, documentation, and turnover to operations.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Lead regional or global deployment programs for structured cabling, fiber backbone, low-voltage systems, and related physical infrastructure.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of deployment managers, program managers, field engineers, and vendor partners.
  • Own deployment planning, schedules, resource models, budgets, forecasts, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with design, construction, network engineering, data center operations, supply chain, security, and commissioning teams to deliver production-ready infrastructure.
  • Establish standardized deployment playbooks, quality controls, acceptance criteria, and turnover processes.
  • Manage installation partners and vendors, including selection, performance management, capacity planning, safety, quality, and commercial accountability.
  • Drive deployment readiness by ensuring materials, labor, site access, permits, test equipment, and documentation are available ahead of execution.
  • Oversee fiber testing, labeling, documentation, as-built records, cable management, and remediation of quality issues.
  • Lead complex retrofits and live-site deployments while protecting customer availability, safety, and operational continuity.
  • Define and improve deployment KPIs, including on-time delivery, first-pass quality, cost per deployment, defect rates, safety performance, and time-to-service.
  • Identify deployment risks early, remove execution blockers, and lead escalation paths across internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in physical infrastructure deployment, data centers, telecommunications, network construction, or large-scale critical environments.
  • 5+ years leading multi-site teams, contractors, vendors, or complex deployment programs.
  • Deep knowledge of structured cabling, fiber-optic infrastructure, low-voltage systems, testing and certification practices, and cable-management standards.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure in data centers, telecom networks, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing large vendor workforces, budgets, schedules, and quality programs.
  • Strong understanding of construction, commissioning, change control, site readiness, and operational handoff.
  • Proven ability to lead safely in live production environments and balance speed, quality, cost, and availability.
  • Excellent executive communication, cross-functional leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience supporting hyperscale cloud, AI/GPU infrastructure, or high-density data center deployments.
  • Experience with fiber design, OTDR testing, splice management, MPO/MTP systems, and structured-cabling standards.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, and applicable local codes and safety requirements.
  • Experience with deployment tooling, asset tracking, work-order systems, and dashboard-driven operational management.
  • Relevant certifications such as RCDD, CFOT, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma.

Success Measures

  • Safe, on-time, and on-budget deployment delivery
  • Fiber and low-voltage installation quality and first-pass acceptance rates
  • Reduction in deployment defects, rework, and time to operational handoff
  • Vendor capacity, productivity, and performance
  • Deployment readiness and schedule predictability
  • Stakeholder satisfaction across construction, engineering, network, and operations teams

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
