  • Produces and quality-assures clear, comprehensive business requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they are traceable, managed against agreed objectives, and reflect the needs of a diverse client base.
  • Refines requirements through structured analysis, validation, and prioritisation, ensuring they are complete, consistent, and aligned with business objectives, and sets the standard for requirements quality across the team.
  • Leads stakeholders through the prioritisation of requirements based on value, risk, and business need, documenting and communicating agreed priorities to guide delivery.
  • Establishes and maintains traceability of requirements across the lifecycle, providing evidence that solutions meet business needs.

People Leadership (where applicable)

  • Holds regular 1:1s focused on development, wellbeing, and career progression.
  • Leads performance reviews (mid-year and year-end)using a 360 feedback model, drawing on peer feedback and feedback from line managers and mentors.
  • Supports development using tools and resources from Nucleus and personalised learning plans.
  • Supports talent calibration discussions and succession planning within their area (annually).
  • Manages sickness (recording on Bob, return-to-work) and joiners, movers, and leavers within the team, with support from Group HR.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Extensive business analysis experience (typically 6+ years), ideally within financial services or a WealthTech environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools, and their practical application across the full project and business lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading, mentoring, and developing others, ideally within a business analysis or product team.
  • Proven ability to produce and quality-assure clear business requirements and process documentation.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, communicating effectively with audiences of varying technical understanding.
  • Previous experience working within a change-focused environment; experience of working within a software development organisation is preferable but not essential.

  • Remains calm, positive, and decisive under pressure, taking the lead when needed.

Our Values: Smart, Heart, Courage

  • Smart – We think with clarity, use good judgment, and continually seek better ways of doing things. We stay informed and strive for excellence.
  • Heart – We care about each other and our clients. We act with empathy, foster collaboration, and always aim to do the right thing.
  • Courage – We speak up, challenge respectfully, and are open to change. We take ownership and stand by our decisions.

These values guide how we work with one another and with our clients. They shape our culture and underpin every decision we make. A little about us We’re the Nucleus Financial Platforms group and we help make retirement more rewarding. People come first - whether it’s our colleagues, or the advisers and customers we support, we know that working in partnership and collaboration leads to the best outcomes. Together, we’ve shaped the platform to how it is today. We work hard, and we celebrate hard too. Our ambition is to create a platform with a difference, putting the customer centre stage meant tearing up the rule book and starting from scratch. We’ve come a long way since then, but our mission remains just as focused. That’s why our culture, values, and social responsibility are things we keep at the top of our agenda – because we know they matter and have a big impact. Our culture is one of the many things that sets us apart from the pack. We want to have an environment where our people feel that they can make a real difference, know they’ll be rewarded for their efforts and more importantly, enjoy themselves at work. Inclusion and diversity at Nucleus As with most things in life, who cares, wins. We really care about inclusion. For us it’s not a tick box exercise; inclusion and diversity are embedded in our culture and everything we do. It’s a commercial imperative. It isn’t about being PC. It’s about being future-relevant and durable. We owe it to ourselves and the industry to ensure we are playing our part in creating a fair, balanced and transparent financial services sector. More diversity means broader experience, a wider set of perspectives and a better collective ability to problem-solve. And it means being more representative of customer groups, which supports areas such as product development. At Nucleus, we offer a generous blend of benefits for the things that really matter to our people, including a non-contributory pension, bonus, enhanced parental leave, paid time off for emergencies, health and wellbeing initiatives and flexible working options.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
