Pay: £14.90 - £25 per hour

We are looking for full-time and part-time Senior Healthcare Assistants for day or night shifts. As a & Senior Healthcare Assistant you will play a critical role in delivering patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to uphold the highest standards of health and safety. Your expertise will greatly contribute to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall healthcare experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to service users, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately in line with policies and training.
  • Supervise, support, and mentor Healthcare Assistants during shifts.
  • Monitor and report any changes in service users' physical, emotional, or mental health.
  • Maintain accurate care records, daily notes, MAR charts, and other documentation.
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews of individual care needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a health or social care setting.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and support a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
