The posting

We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success – and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.

What you will experience in this position:

  • Represent Quality throughout the New Product Introduction process, serving as the quality lead on cross-functional NPI teams from concept and design through qualification, launch, and production stabilization.
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product launches, ensuring quality requirements, deliverables, risks, and acceptance criteria are defined and completed at each phase of the NPI process.
  • Partner closely with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to proactively identify product and process risks through DFMEA, PFMEA, Design Reviews, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Quality (DFQ) activities.
  • Develop and execute product and process quality plans including Control Plans, inspection strategies, measurement methods, sampling plans, First Article Inspections (FAI), Gauge R&R studies, and process capability studies.
  • Establish measurable quality gates and launch-readiness criteria, ensuring critical quality requirements are demonstrated and risks are appropriately mitigated before progression into pilot and production phases.
  • Support prototype, engineering, pilot, and pre-production builds, analyzing defects and process performance to identify and eliminate potential failure modes before full production release.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality and Supply Chain to ensure new suppliers, components, and manufacturing processes are qualified and capable of meeting engineering and quality requirements prior to product launch.
  • Validate manufacturing process readiness by evaluating process capability, measurement systems, inspection methods, work instructions, error-proofing, and controls for critical-to-quality characteristics.
  • Lead structured problem-solving during development and launch using Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, and root cause analysis methodologies, driving effective containment, corrective action, and prevention of recurrence.
  • Drive early-life quality performance following product launch, monitoring key indicators such as First Pass Yield (FPY), defect rates, scrap, rework, NCRs, and customer feedback while leading rapid corrective actions when performance does not meet expectations.
  • Apply lessons learned and quality read-across from previous products, customer issues, and manufacturing escapes to prevent known failure modes from being introduced into new designs and processes.
  • Facilitate the transition from NPI into sustained manufacturing, ensuring documented controls, quality requirements, inspection methods, lessons learned, and unresolved risks are formally transferred to the production organization.
  • Collaborate across multiple sites and functions to standardize NPI quality practices and continuously improve launch execution, product reliability, manufacturing capability, and customer satisfaction.

YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, or a related technical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting or leading new product development, product industrialization, manufacturing readiness, or production launch activities.
  • Working knowledge of APQP tools and methodologies, including FMEA, Control Plans, FAI, MSA/GR&R, and process capability analysis.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and critical-to-quality requirements.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality to identify and mitigate product and process risks.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical methods, process improvement, and quality management systems.
  • Experience with optical, multi-sensor, scanning, and other dimensional inspection equipment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting NPI or quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations and suppliers is preferred.
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training are preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
