Program Overview

The Technical Sales & Applications Program (TSAP) is NXP’s early-career development program for new college graduates pursuing customer-facing technical roles within NXP’s Global Sales organization, with a focus on driving success in the Industrial, IoT, and Automotive markets. Designed for candidates who combine a strong technical foundation with the competitiveness and drive to succeed, TSAP prepares participants for a long-term career as Field Application Engineers (FAEs) through a combination of structured learning and on-the-job experience.

Program Structure

Integrated Learning & On-the-Job Development (9–12 months): Structured Learning includes semiconductor and system fundamentals; NXP product portfolios; embedded systems and software fundamentals; business fundamentals; and instructor-led training from NXP subject-matter experts and leaders.

On-the-Job Training includes working closely with experienced field application engineers, technical sales engineers (TSEs), technical product teams, NXP partners, as well as customers solving technical problems, support design-in activity and build deep applications knowledge.

Career Outcomes

Upon completion, participants transition into a permanent FAE role within the Americas Sales organization, with placement based on business needs and candidate preferences.

The FAE is our field specialist for critical technology functions – the experts! The FAE role is designed to provide the customer additional technical guidance on NXP solutions and when necessary – hands on technical support.

The FAE role specializes in a critical technology category such as Microcontrollers, Applications Processors, Wireless, Security, or Security. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
