- obavlja svakodnevnu zdravstvenu njegu i njegu nepokretnih, polupokretnih, a po potrebi i pokretnih korisnika (pranje, presvlačenje, češljanje, rezanje noktiju, kupanje u kadi, masaža tijela, njegu usne šupljine, brijanje kao i odnosno šišanje nepokretnih korisnika, a po potrebi i polupokretnih, odnosno pokretnih), - brine o provođenju dijetalne prehrane korisnika, - sudjeluje u podjeli hrane i hrani nepokretne korisnike, - redovito odlazi u sobe obilazeći nepokretne i teže pokretne korisnike i po potrebi ih u kolicima izvozi u prostor za radnu terapiju te izvodi vani, - vodi propisanu dokumentaciju o primarnoj skrbi korisnika, - priprema bolesnog korisnika za pregled u zdravstvenoj ustanovi , - prisustvuje pregledu, svakodnevno dijeli peroralnu terapiju i kontrolira njenu konzumaciju, - sterilizira zavojni materijal i instrumente, te kontrolira provođenje istog, - poziva liječnika iz hitne službe za hitne intervencije, - aplicira primjenu parenteralne terapije uz nazočnost liječnika, po potrebi mijenja katetere i ispire ih, daje klizmu i provodi ostale intervencije, - kontrolira vitalne znakove i rezultate unosi u knjigu dnevnog izvješća, - redovito obavlja previjanja, mijenjanja položaja korisnika, - sa fizioterapeutom sudjeluje u sprječavanju komplikacija dugotrajnog ležanja i učestvuje u multidisciplinarnom rješavanju problema korisnika, - nadzire rad njegovateljica i odgovorna je za kompletan rad u smjeni, - sve izmjene unosi u knjigu dnevnog izvješća, a u nedostatku njegovateljica dužna je obavljati sve poslove iz njihova djelokruga, dok je za svoj rad odgovorna voditelju radnog odjela
