We are seeking a highly motivated Air Freight Operator to join our Air Freight Forwarding Department at our offices located at Athens International Airport.

The Air Freight Operator, will be responsible for managing and coordinating all air freight shipments end-to-end, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution of import and export operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure readiness for air freight import/export shipments by verifying documentation and shipment details.
  • Coordinate bookings with airlines, agents, and correspondents, providing accurate flight and loading instructions to carriers, and preparing/loading notes as necessary.
  • Ensure accuracy within the company’s ERP system (Orian).
  • Generate and distribute required air freight documents, such as airway bills, delivery orders, and customs declarations.
  • Oversee the issuance and management of invoices related to air freight shipments.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with Orian ERP software will be considered an advantage.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business administration or other related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in Freight Operations or relevant position.
  • Previous experience in the Air freight forwarding industry is desirable.
