We are actively looking for a Οcean Network Specialist to join our team in our offices located in Piraeus.

As an Ocean Network Specialist, you will support daily operations, coordinate with overseas agents and partners, handle freight quotations, and ensure the smooth management of network activities and follow-ups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the department, ensuring the smooth handling of daily activities and pending tasks.
  • Manage daily follow-ups with overseas agents, partners, shipping lines, and other network contacts.
  • Prepare and follow up on freight quotations, pricing requests, and commercial offers.
  • Coordinate Sea, Road, and Air Freight shipments, ensuring effective communication and timely follow-up with all parties involved.
  • Handle day-to-day network correspondence and outstanding matters, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Support the Department Manager in maintaining strong relationships with overseas agents and partners, allowing greater focus on business development and strategic growth.
  • Provide operational support to other team members, particularly during the Department Manager's business trips and absences, ensuring continuity of daily operations.
  • Assist colleagues with daily departmental activities and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Ocean Freight operations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight management systems (e.g. ORIAN or similar platforms).
  • Valid driver's license.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 2–4 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, ideally with a focus on Ocean Freight.
  • Good knowledge of import and export operations, shipping lines, and overseas agents.
  • Previous experience in freight quotations, pricing, and daily communication with international partners.
