The posting

At Ocean Infinity, we're on a bold mission to subsea data using innovative technology.

Using cutting-edge robotics, autonomous technology and world-class software, we're transforming how complex operations are carried out at sea. Our uncrewed systems are making ocean exploration and operations safer, smarter and more sustainable, helping unlock the vast potential of our oceans while reducing environmental impact. 🌍

This isn't a vision for the future. It's happening right now.

As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and redefine what's possible in the maritime industry, we're looking for exceptional talent to join our fast-growing team.

We are looking to hire a Product Ops Lead. The Product Ops defines, communicates, evaluates and evolves the operational backbone of our technology Products & Platforms organisation: how our products are run, our governance layers, how teams work, how work is tracked and documented, how resources and finances flow through the portfolio, and how new joiners and teams are supported. The role functions as the company's de facto scrum master/agile coach, defining, trialling, and teaching agile ways of working across squads while owning Jira, Confluence, resourcing, finance administration and onboarding for the tech organisation.

Requirements

What you will do! 🚀

Ways of Working & Agile Enablement

  • Act as the company's de facto scrum master/agile coach: define, trial and roll out agile ways of working across product squads, coaching teams through the change.
  • Own the ways-of-working documentation suite and role definitions, keeping them aligned with your engineering counterparts.
  • Own product performance frameworks and templates and report regular metrics to senior tech leadership.

Portfolio Governance & Decision-Making

  • Define and maintain the portfolio operating model, working with leadership to align direction and resourcing decisions with business priorities.
  • Run the technology governance process end-to-end, from discovery through development, keeping reviews, checkpoints and decision forums on cadence.
  • Own governance artifacts (briefs, decision records, review packs), ensuring investment decisions are made with rigour, documented clearly and version controlled.
  • Manage the pipeline of discovery initiatives from ideation through evaluation and prioritisation, challenging the quality of the thinking behind them.
  • Track portfolio milestones and health, surfacing delivery risks early and giving senior stakeholders visibility on demand.
  • Produce portfolio dashboards, regular leadership updates and ad hoc reporting, including input to company R&D submissions.

Product Discovery

  • Partner with design on the pipeline of candidate ideas and join design sprints as a strategic voice, questioning assumptions and steering on product and business logic.
  • Build and maintain a quantitative insight repository and support the wider tech team in framing robust business cases.

Product Delivery Support

  • Maintain the product hierarchy and milestone framework and produce the materials that ready new products for handover into operations.
  • Own testing requirements templates for operational product testing, and support teams with discovery documentation, epic structuring and requirements writing.

Tooling & Documentation Systems

  • Own Jira configuration standards across product boards — field structures, story-writing conventions, epic structuring — improving tooling as product teams grow.
  • Own Confluence architecture for the tech organisation: consolidate fragmented spaces, retire outdated content and maintain plain-English documentation and guides for non-specialist audiences.

Resourcing & Finance Operations

  • Own resource planning for the tech organisation, giving leadership visibility of capacity and allocation.
  • Own finance code alignment for tech spend across the company's expense and travel systems, and review expense approvals against policy.
  • Define the budget process for product-related spend (licences, tools) and produce ad hoc financial and resource reporting as needed.

HR, Onboarding & HSEQ / Audit

  • Own onboarding kits, how-we-work documentation and role descriptions for the tech organisation, keeping them current as the org restructures.
  • Own the org chart and its communication, along with HSEQ-related audit and documentation responsibilities for tech teams.

What we look for!🔍

  • Deep experience in product or portfolio operations — process design, documentation systems and cross-functional coordination.
  • Practical agile facilitation: able to define, trial and teach ways of working across teams of varying maturity.
  • Comfortable owning administrative systems end-to-end — Jira, Confluence, resource planning tools — not just advising on them.
  • Financially literate: expense policy review, cost-per-project analysis and cross-entity finance code alignment.
  • Strong written communication — documentation that non-specialists can act on without translation.
  • Bilingual Portuguese/English, comfortable across Portugal- and UK-based reporting requirements.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, building processes that don't yet exist rather than only maintaining ones that do.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
