Der udbydes en to-årig vagtfri fellowshipstilling inden for fagområdet HPB-kirurgi (hepatopancreatobiliær kirurgi) ved Kirurgisk Afdeling A, Odense Universitetshospital. Uddannelsesforløbet har til sigte at kvalificere ansøgeren til videre specialisering inden for HPB-kirurgi og opnåelse af relevante kompetencer inden for udredning, diagnostik og kirurgisk behandling af patienter med sygdomme i lever, galdeveje og pancreas. Det forventes at ansøgeren gennem uddannelsesforløbet opnår de nødvendige teoretiske og praktiske kompetencer til at kunne indstille sig til UEMS-HPB-eksamen. Ved ansættelsen tilrettelægges et individuelt uddannelsesprogram med henblik på opnåelse af de relevante teoretiske og praktiske kompetencer inden for HPB-kirurgi. Uddannelsesforløbet vil tage udgangspunkt i ansøgerens eksisterende kompetencer og erfaring og vil blive tilpasset den enkelte fellows uddannelsesmæssige behov og karriereplan.

Målgruppe Målgruppen er speciallæger i Kirurgi, som ønsker videreuddannelse og subspecialisering inden for HPB-kirurgi. Ansøgere med relevant erfaring inden for øvre gastrointestinal kirurgi vil blive foretrukket. Det forventes, at ansøgeren har interesse for og motivation for en fremtidig karriere inden for HPB-kirurgi. Det er en forudsætning for at komme i betragtning til stillingen, at der foreligger forhåndsaccept fra relevant ledelse i forhold til eventuel nødvendig orlov eller frikøb fra nuværende ansættelse.

Fagligt og uddannelsesmæssigt indhold Fellowship forløbet vil omfatte bred eksponering for HPB-kirurgiske patientforløb og vil blandt andet give mulighed for kompetenceudvikling inden for: • Udredning og behandling af patienter med benigne og maligne sygdomme i lever, galdeveje og pancreas • Leverresektioner • Pancreaskirurgi • Galdevejskirurgi • Præoperativ vurdering og optimering af patienter med komplekse kirurgiske sygdomme • Postoperativ behandling og håndtering af komplikationer efter avanceret HPB-kirurgi • Deltagelse i relevante multidisciplinære konferencer • Klinisk forskning og kvalitetsudvikling inden for HPB-området

Kompetencer omhandlende levertransplantation, søges opnået ved orlov til ansættelse på relevant afdeling i ind- eller udland.

Det forventes gradvist at opnå øget selvstændighed i vurdering og behandling af patienter samt i udførelsen af relevante operative procedurer under supervision efter gældende kompetenceniveau. Forskning og akademiske kompetencer Det forventes, at ansøgere har en dokumenteret interesse for forskning og udvikling inden for kirurgi. Ansøgere med minimum ét publiceret videnskabeligt arbejde som førsteforfatter i et peer-reviewed tidsskrift foretrækkes. Under fellowship forløbet forventes aktiv deltagelse i afdelingens forsknings- og udviklingsaktiviteter. Der vil være mulighed for at indgå i eksisterende forskningsprojekter eller udvikle egne forskningsprojekter inden for HPB-kirurgi.
